Dogs ... to the moon!

Laika, a dog that was abandoned in the streets of Moscow was the first living creature launched into space from the earth. It happened on November 3rd, 1957 in the Sputnik 2 spacecraft. The official version said that Laika received a lethal dose in their food after a week of space travel to avoid the high temperatures experienced in the craft reentry into the earth. Yet it seems that Laika resisted for one hour only his space adventure due to stress and temperature at takeoff.
